Tasting Notes Drink:

Made from 50-year-old Carignan vines, this wine is produced from grapes grown on red chalky soils in the village of Cruzy, just north from Béziers in Languedoc. A ripe and concentrated wine, deep ruby in colour with an alluring nose of sweet ripe strawberry and dark cherry, it is supple with ripe fruit flavours and very light tannins. Unoaked and fruit driven, easy drinking yet robust, this is the house wine at our Deli and a crowd favourite in our courtyard.

Pair with: A wide selection of cheese.

Our Perfect Cheeseboard: Quicke’s Extra Mature Cheddar, Cornish Kern, The Truffler, Vuslcombe Goats, Peter’s Yard 105g, The Bay Tree Red Onion Marmalade, Clare’s Tamatar Kunsundi (for an interesting twist) or Olive Branch Fig & Mint Tapanade, Fresh Grapes, Nuts and Dates.
