Tasting Notes Drink:

Bodegas Taron is a cooperative based in the northernmost part of Rioja Alta. The cooperative is made up of four small towns; Cuzcurrita de Rio Tiron, Sajazarra, Villaseca and Tirgo. These four towns decided that as they share not only the landscape but their culture too, they would benefit from pooling together their vineyards and knowledge to create one Bodega focused on creating high quality Riojas. Bodegas Taron have created this soft and attractive Crianza from a blend of Tempranillo and Mazuelo from their Rioja Alta vineyards. The wine displays a bright ruby red colour with aromas of fresh red berries, plum and cherry. On the palate, subtle oak and smoked notes from 14 months in American oak combine fresh redcurrant and cherry fruits.

Pair with: Strong earthy cheeses, bold blues, smoked cheese and most Spanish cheese and game pâté.

Our Perfect Cheeseboard: Valdeón Picos Blue, Manchego, Quicke’s Smoked, Miller’s Toast Fig & Sultana, Wild Hare Pâté, Dates, Clare’s Preserves Damson Chutney.
