Shepherds Purse Artisan Cheeses began in the late 1980s after Mum, Judy Bell, discovered her passion and talent for cheese making as she set out on a mission to create quality dairy alternatives for cow’s milk allergy sufferers. The dairy has grown organically into one of the top cheese producers in the UK, with multiple Super Gold Awards for their cheeses. They make Bluemin White from Yorkshire cow’s milk, and mature it in their ripening store, where it forms its blue rind. Next, they wrap the cheeses up and leave them to develop their rich, nutty flavour and amazing melt-in-the-mouth texture. Developed in 2010 by Katy on their family farm, Bluemin White picked up a three star Great Taste Award in 2013, which placed it in the top 125 tasty foods in the country, and Super Gold in 2016 at the World Cheese Awards.
